Welcome to the Future Malappuram Hackathon! To ensure a smooth and productive experience for all participants, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the following guidelines and instructions:

Note: The winner may be selected for the upcoming Zil Incubation Project with a substantial investment of 1 crore rupees.

1. Build a Team of 1 to 4 Members

Gather your tech-savvy friends and join the Manorama Zil Money Hackathon to collectively build an innovative project.

2. Choose a Societal Problem

Select a contemporary issue that society faces today. This problem can be related to finance, technology, healthcare, education, or any other relevant area.

3. Develop a Solution

Create a comprehensive proposal for a digital solution to address the chosen problem. Explain how your solution can effectively tackle the issue and provide benefits to society.

4. Prepare a Presentation and a Loom Video

Create a PowerPoint (PPT) presentation that includes as many of the following elements and a Loom video explanation for it. 

  • Flowcharts: Visualize the workflow and processes involved in your digital solution.
  • Diagrams: Use diagrams to illustrate key concepts or components of your solution.
  • Explanations: Provide detailed explanations of how your solution works and its potential impact.
  • Screen representations: If possible, use tools like Figma or similar to design screens or user interfaces to showcase the user experience.
  • Prototype implementation: If feasible, develop a prototype of your digital solution to demonstrate its functionality.
  • Video Explanation: A brief screen recorded explanation of your PPT.

    5. Submission Deadline – 30th Oct

    6. Judging Process

    A panel of judges will evaluate the submitted projects based on their innovation, effectiveness in addressing the problem, and potential societal impact.

    7. Top 10 Announcement

    The top 10 teams eligible for presentations will be announced on the morning of the hackathon day. The selection process is entirely determined by the internal system of ZilMoney.

    8. Presentation Opportunity

    The teams behind the top 10 projects will have the chance to present their solutions in front of an audience. Each team will be allowed 10 minutes to present.

    9. Prizes and Certificates

    Top 3 winners will receive cash prize and memento on next day during orientation program from a chief guest. All the participants will receive participation certificates and gifts from Zil Money.

    Make sure to adhere to the timeline and guidelines provided for a chance to make a positive impact and be recognized for your innovative digital solution.

    Only team who have received a confirmation call will be granted entry to the venue.

    Kindly be aware that Malayala Manorama and Zil Money have the full rights to modify the rules and regulations as needed.
